FAQ Friday #7 - What material should I use to create wear patches on my tubes?

FAQ Friday #7 - What material should I use to create wear patches on my tubes?

Firstly, if you have PVC tubes, I would recommend a PVC material and if you have hypalon tubes, use a hypalon material.

You can of course just use the normal smooth fabrics, but did you know that textured fabric also exists?
RIBstore stocks textured PVC in Light Grey, Mid Grey and Black (photo below).
Hypalon comes in a lot more options! We currently offer Fabric Impression (think matt Ribeye tubes) and Carbon effect hypalon and will soon also be offering Perlage too.
Fabric Impression, pictured left to right: Ocean Blue, Army Green, Black, Anthracite and Military Grey. Also available in Artic (light) Grey, Off White and Sylvano Orange.
Carbon, pictured left to right: Black, Military Grey, Neptune Grey and Off White. Also available in Ocean Blue.
And don't forget we stock Treadmaster too, which can be used on tubes, but is great for decks and steps.
